Kunkle Named Centennial Defensive Player of the Week

(Carlisle, Pa.) - The Dickinson women's soccer team earned its second straight Centennial Conference Player of the Week honor as senior Marissa Kunkle (Perkasie, Pa/Pennridge) garnered the defensive award, leading the Red Devils to a pair of wins last week.

Kunkle anchored a strong defensive effort as Dickinson allowed just one goal on four shots, posting wins over Penn State Altoona and previously unbeaten Wilkes University. In addition, she scored the game-winner to lead the Devils past Wilkes.

Dickinson improved to 4-0 on the season. They will host York College on Wednesday in a battle of unbeaten teams as the Spartans come into the game with a two wins and a pair of 0-0 draws. York has also not allowed a goal through four games.
