Fields, Thayer Named Centennial Players of the Week

(Carlisle, Pa.) - Dickinson College first-year Julia Thayer (Washington, D.C. / Maret School) and junior Ashley Fields (Far Hills, N.J./Ridge) were named the Centennial Conference women's soccer Offensive and Defensively Players of the Week.

Thayer tallied three goals last week as the Devils posted a pair of shutouts. The first-year forward struck once against Susquehanna and added a pair of goals in a 4-0 win over Washington College.

Fields anchored the Devil defense that held its opponents to just six shots, and four on goal, in a pair of shutouts last week.  The Devils have gone five straight games without surrendering a goal, recording nine shutouts on the year. Fields also tallied an assist in the win over Susquehanna and scored against Washington on Friday.

The Red Devils are currently 9-3-1 overall and 5-2 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Baltimore on Wednesday to battle nationally-ranked, and unbeaten Johns Hopkins University at 7:00 pm.
