Women's Lacrosse Celebrates Senior Day With 19-11 Win

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's lacrosse team improved to 4-0 in the Centennial Conference with a 19-11 win over visiting Haverford College on Senior Day at Biddle Field.

The Red Devils jumped out to a quick, 4-0 lead behind two goals and an assist from senior Maddy Siebold (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes).

Haverford countered with three straight to pull within one at the 17:01 mark. Siebold triggered another four-goal clip for the Red Devils to stretch the margin to 8-3.

The teams traded goals with the Devils holding a 10-6 lead at halftime. Sophomore Sam Marmo (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) struck early to start the second half and the Devils built the lead to 13-7.

Haverford looked to rally one more time with back-to-back goals from Allie Gibbons, but the Devils would answer with a 6-0 run behind three goals from Marmo.

The 'Fords scored two late goals for the final of 19-11.

Marmo had another monster game with six goals and one assist. Siebold tallied seven points as well, netting five goals and handing out one assist while controlling five draws and three ground balls.

Sophomore Anne Dunster (Cos Cob, Conn./Greenwich) tallied two goals and one assist while senior Allison Carey (Weston, Conn./Laurelton Hall) added a goal and two assists.

Senior Tara Cuddihy (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) made five saves on the day before Kara Schwartz (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) came on to finish the final 10 minutes.

Haverford falls to 5-6 overall and 2-2 in the Centennial Conference. The Red Devils improve to 7-4 overall and 4-0 in the CC. The Red Devils are home again next Friday night, hosting Swarthmore College at 7:00 pm.
