Women's Golf Captures Second at McDaniel Invite

(Abbottstown, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's golf team turned in an outstanding performance in its fall opener, placing second at the McDaniel College Fall Invitational.

The Red Devils finished just five strokes behind Stevenson University, combining for a round of 351. Senior Lisi Mueller (Sterling, Va./Peddie School, N.J.) led the way, placing third in the individual standings, carding an 84, just two strokes off the lead.

Junior Emily Rieder (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) recorded a personal-best with a round of 85 to tie for fourth while first-year Olivia Brown (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) came in with an 89 in her first collegiate match, finishing just one spot out of the top 10.

Sophomore Hannah Heiring (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata) finished with a 93 and first-year Kiara Smith (Somerset, N.J./The Pingry School) recorded a 114.

The Red Devils are next in action on September 30th, traveling to the Gettysburg Fall Invitational at the Hanover Country Club.
