Red Devil Women Third at Centennial Championships
(Hampstead, Md.) – The Dickinson College women's golf team placed third at the 2011 Centennial Conference Championships. Gettysburg captured the team title with a score of 378, edging McDaniel by two strokes (380). The Red Devils combined for a score of 433.
McDaniel's Jennie Weiner earned medalist honors with a round of 90, holding off teammate, Morgan Koopman, and Gettysburg's Caroline Nathan, who both shot rounds of 91.
Anne Marshall (Lafayette Hills, Pa./Germantown Academy) placed seventh with a round of 99. Alix Poeton (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) was 15th with a 108.
Senior Laura Romano (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon) and first-year Megan Lee (Philadelphia, Pa./Friend's Central) placed 16th and 17th, respectively, with rounds of 111 and 115. Mikayla Strycharz (Southampton, Mass./Williston Northampton) tied for 23rd with a 133.
