(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson College senior forward Alesha Sisco (Effort, Pa./Blair Academy) was named to the 2011 All-Centennial Conference women's basketball team, announced on Tuesday afternoon. Sisco earned Second-team honors for the second straight season.
A standout in both basketball and softball at Dickinson, Sisco became the 11th player in program history to score over 1,000 points in her career. She finished with 1,275 points, ranking seventh all-time. Sisco holds the school's top field-goal percentage mark at 52.8. She ranked third in the Centennial Conference in scoring (15.3 ppg), second in steals (61) and fifth in rebounding (8.7 rpg) this season.
She ranks second in career free throw percentage (78.5%) and has converted 373 free throws, ranking third all-time in that category. This season she set a Centennial Conference and school single-season record, hitting 34 consecutive free throws earlier this year.
Defensively, Sisco proved to be one of the program's best as well, ranking fifth in career steals with 226 and third in total rebounds with 723. She added 33 blocked shots in her career, earning starts in 76-of-102 games at Dickinson. She earned All-Conference recognition in softball as well, leading the Red Devils to the program's first Centennial Conference title in 2010 and its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She led the women's basketball team to appearances in the conference semifinals in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
