Devils Drop Semester Opener 62-54

The Red Devils looked strong at the start, jumping out to a quick 6-2 lead. The Bears closed the gap and pulled in front 24-14 with a 14-4 run midway through the half.
Dickinson cut the deficit to one at the 4:11 mark before another run put Ursinus in front 39-27 at the break.
The Bears scored on back-to-back jumpers from Alli Rosati (Jamison, Pa./C.B. East) to take a 16-point lead to start the second half. The Devils answered with a 14-0 run of their own to pull within a field-goal, just six minutes into the half.
The Devils never led, but pulled even with just over nine minutes remaining in the game. First-year Dana Walsh (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) hit a pair of free throws to tie the game again, 51-51, at the 5:32 mark.
The Bears held on, outscoring the Devils 11-3 over the final five minutes. They hit 6-of-8 free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
Rosati led Ursinus (6-5, 4-3) with a game-high 15 points while Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil's) controlled a game-high 11 rebounds.
Senior guard Brooke Muller (Northampton, Pa./Whitehall) led the Devils with 10 points and a pair of assists. Junior Alesha Sisco (Effort, Pa./Blair Academy) scored nine points, controlled eight rebounds and tallied four steals on the night.
Walsh finished the night with nine points and four rebounds.Lindsay Finnerty (Tenafly, N.J./Tenfly) came off the bench to add nine points as well.
The Red Devils slip to 7-3 overall and 3-3 in the Centennial Conference. They host Bryn Mawr College on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
