As a former runner at Millersville University, Coach Longenecker brings a great young mindset to both the men's and women's programs this fall. While running in a tough and nationally ranked Division II PSAC Conference, Longenecker was a varsity runner in cross country, and indoor and outdoor track & field, he made himself dedicated to persistence and excellence.

He received a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education in 2011 and eventually would like to pursue a career as a principal or superintendent, while continuing to coach cross country. His positive attitude and lively personality are sure to be assets to his coaching duties. With a similar philosophy to that of head coach Don Nichter, Longenecker believes in being actively involved in practice as he still runs and trains on a daily basis to prove that every person on a team, including coaches, is vital to becoming a successful and winning program.
