Nicole Hart continues as the assistant coach of the Red Devil men’s and women’s cross country teams this fall after joining the team in the fall of 2017. With a strong background in health care, Hart began pursuing a career in personal training and run coaching in 2012.
In addition to leading running groups and developing individual training programs, she holds a certification as a sports conditioning specialist through ACE Fitness, as well as certifications in TRX Training and Indoor Cycling.
A 1994 graduate of Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Hart earned a degree as a Registered Nurse and began working at Ottawa Civic Hospital. She remained in the health care field while also volunteering as a teacher and remaining actively involved running and fitness training.
During her time in Carlisle, she has developed programs for Run Carlisle Barracks and has worked in the recreation department of the U.S. Army War College as well.
Hart has completed eight marathons, running in the Boston Marathon in 2016, and an Ultramarathon in 2017.
