#24-Ranked Red Devils Claim Eigth at Purple Valley

(Williamstown, Mass.) – The #24-ranked Dickinson men's cross country team had a strong showing at the Purple Valley Classic, hosted by Williams College on Saturday. The Red Devils captured the number eight spot in the team standings as #2-ranked SUNY Geneseo won the team title.

Sophomore Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) led the Red Devils, placing 16th overall with a time of 26:53. Junior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) crossed the line in the top 25, clocking a time of 27:03 to place 22nd.

Senior Nathan Udell (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) was right there as well, coming in at 27:08. Senior Kyle Fitch), and juniors Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) and Will Chandler (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) posted times of 27:50, 28:05 and 28:33, respectively.

Senior Matt Persick (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson) was 10 seconds back to round out the Red Devils' top seven with a mark of 28:43.

The Red Devils return home to host the Dickinson Long Course-Short Course Invitational at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa.
