(Reading, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's cross country team, ranked 15th in the latest USTFCCCA national poll, swept the top seven spots, en route to a perfect score at the Albright College Lights Out Invitational on Friday night.
Senior Nick Stender (Chicago, Ill./Latin School of Chicago) led the way, crossing the line first with a time of 19:09. Sophomore Joey Steadman (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) came in just two seconds behind Stender to claim second.
Seniors Hunter Smith (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) and David Klein (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) both posted times of 19:24, while Mason Hepner (Mount Joy, Pa./Manheim), Eli Howard (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) and Zach Simmons (Lutherville, Md./Towson) came at 19:25, :26 an :27, respectively.
Senior Conor White (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and sophomore Patrick Nolan (Westport, Conn./Staples) gave the Devils nine runners in the top 10 as Penn State Abington's Alex Kane broke up the pack in the number eight spot.
Dickinson had 18 runners place in the top 25, dominating the field. Hartwick College captured second wth 62 points.
The Red Devils will compete in another twilight meet next Friday, traveling to the Galen Piper Invitational at Shippensburg University. The first race is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
