Devil Men Capture 13th Straight Little Three Championship

(Gettysburg, Pa.)- The Dickinson College men's cross country team captured its 13th consecutive Little Three Cross Country team title on Tuesday evening.

 

The Red Devils were dominant, capturing the top four spots and placing nine runners in the top 13 in the race.

 

Senior Greg Leak (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) won the individual title, coming across with Nick Karwoski (Hollis, N.H./Groton) in a time of 15:58. Brian Krusell (Newington, Conn./Newington) was right just behind at 15:59. Andy Gregor (Pittsburgh, Pa./Quaker Valley) crossed the line fourth in a time of 16:04.

 

A quartet of Bullets broke up the pack Devils. Dickinson claimed the next five spots in a span of 14 seconds, led by Michael Tarkoff (Warrington, Pa./C.B. South) with a time of 16:39.

 

Andrew Fine (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) and James Pagano (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) came in at 16:42 and 16:43. Sean Galiczynski (Ivyland, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) crossed at 16:48 and David Breen (Bolton, Mass./Nashoba Regional)clocked a time of 16:53.

 

The Devils retain possession of the Napoleon Cannon Trophy with scores of 15-50 against F&M and 19-38 to top the Bullets. Gettysburg topped the Diplomats 15-47.

 

The Red Devils host the Dickinson Long/Short Course Invitational on Saturday.
