(Carlsile, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's indoor track & field team earned four spots on the 2018 All-Centennial Conference Team and two spots on the UST&FCCCA All-Mideast Region Team, announced this week.
First-year Kacper Rzempoluch (Princeton, N.J./West Windsor Plainsboro North) was named the 2018 Rookie of the Year, capturing a conference title in the pole vault. Rzempoluch cleared the bar at 4.50 meters to win the event, earning First-team honors.
The Red Devils had a strong showing in the pole vault, adding a bronze medal and a fourth place showing from first-year Gavin Wood (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall). Sophomore Adam Gamber (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) made it to the podium for the second straight year. He was third this season with a height of 4.10 meters.
Sophomore Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) turned in a pair of honorable mention performances, placing third in both the 3000 and 5000 meter events. He clocked times of 8:42.68 in the 3K and 14:55.50 in the 5000.
Junior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) posted his best time of the season, running to third in the mile with a mark of 4:16.82 to earn honorable mention recognition.
Senior Marcus Robinson (Bowie, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) was named to the 2018 All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.
Herrmann and Rzempoluch were also named to the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (UST&FCCCA) All-Mideast Region Team in the mile and pole vault, respectively. Herrmann received All-Region honors in the 1500 meters for the 2017 outdoor season as well.
