(Collegeville, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's indoor track & field team finished fourth at the 2018 Centennial Conference Championships on Sunday at Ursinus College.
Junior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) ran to bronze in the mile, crossing the line in 4:16.82. He joined the 4x800 relay for a fourth-place finish and was ninth with the 4x400 relay.
Sophomore Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) matched his performance in the 5K, clocking a time of 8:42.68 in the 3000 to add another bronze medal, joining the 4x800 relay as well.
Thomas Riordan (Campbell, S.C./Landrum) ran the lead leg of the 4x800 relay as they combined for a mark of 8:04.90 and placed fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 51.77.
Senior Billy Dougherty (Mt. Lebanon, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) joined both the 4x400 and 4x800 relays, and placed sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:58.69. Juniors Matthew Trang (Altadena, Calif./John Marshall Fundamental) and Miles Lindsey (Herndon, Va./Oakton) ran the other two legs of the 4x400.
First-year Ben Sobel (Hanover, N.H./Hanover) added a pair of top 10 showings in the high jump and the long jump on Sunday. Senior Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) was seventh in the shot put with a throw of 14.54.
Johns Hopkins captured the team title with 215 points with Haverford claiming second with 149. Swarthmore finished in front of the Red Devils with 85. Dickinson combined for 60 points to edge Muhlenberg with 57.
