Herrmann Claims Third in Mile at Bison Open

(Lewisburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's indoor track & field team turned in some solid performances at the multi-divisional Bucknell Bison Open on Saturday.

Junior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) led the way, placing third overall in the mile, clocking a time of 4:23.53. He anchored the 4x400 relay to a time of 3:39.03 to finish in the top 20.

Sophomore Thomas Riordan (Campbell, S.C./Landrum) ran the lead leg of the relay and clocked a time of 52.40 in the 400 meters while Billy Dougherty (Mt. Lebanon, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) and Miles Lindsey (Herndon, Va./Oakton) joined the 4x400 as well.

Junior Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) had a strong showing in the 3000 meters, crossing the line seventh with a time of 8:44.87. Matt Persick (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Henderson) came across in 9:24.70.

Senior Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) tossed the shot put 13.28 meters to place ninth in that event and placed in the top-20 of the weight throw with a distance of 12.45 meters.

The Red Devils are home next weekend, hosting the Du Charme Invitational on Saturday at the Kline Center.
