Men's T&F Claims Second at E'Town Tune Up

(Elizabethtown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track & field team captured silver at the Elizabethtown Blue Jay Tune Up on Saturday, as they get ready for the Centennial Conference Championships at Johns Hopkins next weekend.

The Red Devils had another strong showing the throwing events as Brock Hartman (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) claimed second in the shot put and third in the discus and Robert Pearl (Sea Ranch Lakes, Fla./Pine Crest) placed fourth in both events.

Senior Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) captured second place points in the hammer throw and was third in the discus.

Marcus Robinson (Bowie, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) ran to silver in the 100 meters while first-year Ryan Murphy (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) placed third in the 100 meters and was fifth in the 200.

Matthew Trang (Altadena, Calif./John Marshall Fundamental) claimed sixth and seventh in the 400 and 200 meters, respectively.

First-year Conor Beaupre (Meriden, N.H./Kimberly Union Academy) added fourth place showings in the long and triple jump events.

Will Chandler (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) was fourth in the 1500 and Harry McCarthy (Westfield, N.J./Newark Academy) ran to fifth in the 800.

The 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams both claimed third and first-year James Park (Blue Bell, Pa.) was fourth in the javelin.

The Red Devils will compete at the 2017 Centennial Conference Championships at Johns Hopkins next weekend. The three-day event begins on Friday.
