Red Devils Run, Throw Well at Messiah Invite

(Grantham, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track & field team competed at the Messiah Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 39.45 meters and had a throw of 11.60 meters. Robert Pearl (Sea Ranch Lakes, Fla./Pine Crest) was sixth in the discus with a distance of 36.89.

First-year Adam Gamber (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) was fourth in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 4.04 meters.

First-year Ethan Burg (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) and senior Cole Rinehart (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) placed fourth and fifth in the 10,000 meters, posting times of 34:32.13 and 34:54.70. Senior James Corti (Stockholm, N.J./Wallkill Valley) added a top-10 showing as well, crossing the line in 34:44.57.

Sophomore Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) ran to fourth in the 1,500 meters 4:04.30 and placed ninth in the 800 with a time of 2:01.27.

Junior Matt Persick (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Henderson) was 10th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:42.33.

Conor Beaupre (Meriden, N.H./Kimball Union Academy) led-off the 4x100 relay as the Red Devils placed sixth with a time of 45.86. Michael Murphy (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) and Ryan Murphy (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) ran the middle legs with Marcus Robinson (Bowie, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) on the anchor leg.

The Red Devils were 11th in the team standings. They are scheduled to travel to the Bucknell Distance Carnival next Friday.
