(Lancaster, Pa) – The Dickinson men's track & field team captured the team title at the 2017 Little Three Championship, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday. The Red Devils tallied 150.5 points with F&M scoring 146 and Gettysburg placing third with 112.5.
Senior Mason Hepner (Mount Joy, Pa./Manheim Central) had a big day, winning the 800 and 1500 meters, and earning first place points in the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays. Sophomore Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) joined Hepner in the 4x800 relay and placed third in the 800 meters.
First-year Conor Beaupre (Meriden, N.H./Kimball Union Academy) was productive as well, winning the triple jump, placing second in the high jump and long jump, and third with the 4x100 meter relay.
Junior Marcus Robinson (Bowie, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) joined the 4x100 relay and placed second in both the 100 and 200 meters.
The Red Devils captured the top four spots in the 5000 meters. First-year Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) led the way with sophomores Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./J.P./McCaskey) and Kyle Fitch (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) placing second and third, and senior Cole Rinehart (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) crossed the line fourth.
Junior Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) led a strong contingent in the throwing events, placing second in the shot put and the discus. Brock Hartman (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) was third in the shot and fourth in the discus while Robert Pearl (Sea Ranch Lakes, Fla./Pine Crest) was fourth in the shot, and third in the discus and weight throw.
The Red Devils travel to the Muhlenberg Invitational next weekend.
