Red Devils Sweep Centennial Track & Field Athlete of the Week Honors
(Lancaster, Pa.) - Dickinson College swept the Centennial Conference Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards, turning in some outstanding performances at the Messiah College Invitational.
Mu Mu (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central) turned in a strong performance at the Messiah College Invitational over the weekend. The first-year ran to an individual title in the 400 meter hurdles, clocking a time of 56.42.
He placed third in the 110 meter hurdles (15.63) and ran the lead leg of the 4x100 meter relay. The Devils clocked a time of 3:30.34 to place sixth overall and second among Division III teams.
Vivian Butali (Fairfax, Va./National Cathedral) was a significant point-scorer for the Red Devil women at the Messiah College Invitational over the weekend. She won the triple jump, breaking the school record in the process with a distance of 11.02 meters (36'-2").
She added third place showings in the 100 meter dash (12.87) and as the lead leg of the 4x100 meter relay (51.61). Butali closed out the day with a fourth place finish in the long jump (4.68m) and a top 10 showing in the 200 meters, placing ninth in 27.78.
