Men's Tennis Wins 7-2 at Washington

(Chestertown, Md.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team turned in a solid performance on Saturday, posting a 7-2 victory at Washington College.

 

The Red Devils jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles, claiming the first and third flights. Will Golinkin (Houston, Texas/Kincaid) and Chris Mueller-Wolf (Hamburg, Germany/Pennington School, N.Y.) captured the top doubles flight and earned points with wins at #1 and #3 singles, respectively. Golinkin won in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5, while Mueller-Wolf won his match, 6-4, 6-4.

 

Jon Brittin (McLean, Va./Landon) and Hunter Dewing-Hommes (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) survived a 9-7 decision to give the Devils the win in the third doubles flight.

 

Dickinson swept the final three singles flights for the 7-2 decision. Joey Frank (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Boca Raton) rebounded to win the fourth, (4-6, 6-3, 10-6), while Erik Dinardo (Carlisle, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) and Josh Kaseff (Westport, Conn./Staples) won in straight sets.

 

Kaseff improved to 4-0 on the season with his win while the Red Devils raised their season mark to 4-9 and 3-3 in Centennial Conference play.

 

The Red Devils travel to Loyola on Wednesday for a 3:30 pm match.
