Devils Hold Off Mules 5-4 in Men's Tennis

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's tennis team held off visiting Muhlenberg, 5-4, in Centennial Conference action on Tuesday.


The Mules jumped out to a 2-0 lead, taking first and second doubles. First-year Jonathan Brittin (McLean, Va./Landon) and David London (Chevy Chase, Md./Maret School) put the Devils on the board with an 8-3 win in the third doubles flight.


The teams traded points down the ladder with first-year Erik Dinardo (Carlisle, Mass.) adding a win in the sixth singles flight, 6-3, 6-3.


Junior Will Golinkin (Houston, Texas/Kincaid) captured the top singles flight, 6-1, 6-1. Ari Blask (Chevy Chase, Md./Charles E. Smith) and Brittin claimed the third and fifth flights in straight sets to secure the match.


The Red Devils improve to 8-7 overall and 4-4 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Franklin & Marshall on Saturday for a 12:00 pm match.
