Men's Swimming Post Two Wins on Sunday

(Annville, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team earned a pair of wins on Sunday. The Red Devils swam past Wilkes University, 106-88, and posted a 125-49 win over host Lebanon Valley.

The Red Devils opened the meet with a one-two finish in the 200 medley relay. First-year Colin Shea (Merion Station, Pa./Lower Merion) swam the lead leg of the winning relay, adding a win in the 100 backstroke and a second place finish in the 50 freestyle.

Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./Pennington School) and Tyler Catania (Spotswood, Pa./St. Joseph) went one-two in the 200 free and swam the middle legs of the medley relay. Allen Belo (Odenton, Md./Severn School) anchored the medley and finished second in the 100 freestyle.

Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) won the 200 individual medley and swam well in exhibition in the 100 breaststroke. He was part of the second place medley relay. Jake Beley (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) and John Crafa (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) joined the medley and placed second in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly events, respectively.

Jeff Gabriel (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt/CBA) swam the anchor leg of the relay and placed third in the 100 free.

Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) and Mitch Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) had wins in the 800 and 400 freestyle events. Novitch was second in the 100 backstroke as well.

James Cummings (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) captured a pair of silvers in the 100 and 400 freestyle.

The Red Devils improve to 2-1 on the season. They return home to host the University of Scranton, next Saturday at 1:00 pm.
