(Haverford, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's soccer team suffered a tough, 1-0 setback to top-seed Haverford College in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference Championship on Saturday.

Peter Baroff made a nice move on the end line to beat the defense and find the net in the 53rd minute to lead the 'Fords into the final.

The match was back-and-forth for the entire 90 minutes with neither team able to net another goal.

The hosts held a 6-5 advantage in shots in the first half, but the Red Devils were able to gain the edge on corners, 6-1. Haverford outshot the Devils, 5-2, in the second half to finish 11-7 while Dickinson added the only corner after the break.

Michael Iacono made a pair of saves for Haverford as they improve to 13-4 on the season.

Junior goaltender Frederick Meagher (Southport, Conn./Fairfield-Ludlowe) finished with six saves as the Red Devils slip to 11-6-2 on the season.

The Red Devils will now look for an at-large bid to the NCAA playoffs.
