Schwab Named Co-SIDA/Capital One Academic All-District

 

 

(Carlisle, Pa.) - Dickinson senior Kyle Schwab (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) was named to the Co-SIDA-Capital One Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team. A four-year starter on defense, Schwab has led the Red Devils to the Centennial Conference playoffs in each of the last three seasons, capturing the program's first championship in 2011.

 

Schwab ranks in the top five for games played and games started as a Red Devil, earning the nod in 69-of-72 games. He is a three-time member of the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Majoring in Law & Policy at Dickinson, Schwab holds one of the highest GPAs on the team.

 

Along with his six senior classmates will, Schwab will graduate with one of the best records in program history. Anchoring a defense that has posted 33 shutouts and a remarkable 0.95 goals-against-average over the past four years, the Red Devils have posted an overall mark of 46-18-11.

 

The Red Devils secured their third straight Centennial Conference playoff bid on Saturday, turning back Washington College, 1-0, in the regular season finale at Phyllis Joan Miller Memorial Field. Dickinson is the #4-seed in the tournament and will host #5-seed, Johns Hopkins University on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.
