(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's soccer team broke into the top 25, earning a #-21 ranking in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national poll.

The Red Devils improved to 5-0 on the season with a decisive 9-0 win over Gwynedd-Mercy College on Wednesday night. They begin defense of their Centennial Conference title on Saturday evening, hosting Washington College at 5:00 pm. The game will be played on Biddle Field in the Stadium.

The Red Devils have tallied 17 goals so far this season, adding 12 assists through their first five games. Junior Javier Mena (San Salvador, El Salvador/The American School) leads the team in scoring with three goals and three assists. He struck twice on Wednesday night while first-year Alfred Hylton-Dei (Geneva, Switzerland/Mercersburg Academy, Pa.) had a big night as well, scoring twice and handing out three assists.

The Red Devils captured the 2011 Centennial Conference Championship, defeating Haverford in dramatic fashion, in a shootout in Baltimore. They entered the tournament as the number two seed and advanced to the championship with a win over Muhlenberg in the semifinal.
