Second Half Charge Leads Devils to 5-1 Win

Justin Canning put the hosts on the board, just 6:22 into the game. The Red Devils answered as senior Matt Edgar (Vineland, N.J./Vineland) scored the first of his two goals in the 37th minute.
Edgar put the Devils in front, scoring on a corner with assists fromZach Pritchard (Dallas, Texas/Greenhill) and Bryan Gilmartin (Branchburg, N.J./St. Joseph's).
Gilmartin made it 3-1 in the 74th minute, scoring off an assist fromBen Gemberling-Johnson (Wyndmoor, Pa./Germantown Friends). Mark Lyle (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) stretched the lead to 4-1 with an assist from Andreas Israel (Montevideo, Uruguay/Uruguayan American) in the 83rd minute.
Gilmartin closed out the scoring with 1:46 remaining, scoring on a nice pass from Scott Carpenter (N. Yarmouth, Maine/N. Yarmouth).
Cody Hickok (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow) made six saves for the Red Devils as they improve to 9-3-1. Brandon Dombrowski made three saves for Scranton (8-4-1).
The Red Devils return home to face Haverford College on Saturday at 3:30 pm.
