Men's Golf Sixth at 28-Team Blue Jay Classic

(Hershey, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team had a strong outing on Tuesday afternoon, placing sixth in the 28-team Elizabethtown Blue Jay Fall Classic at the Hershey Country Club.

Three Red Devils turned in scores in the 70's while sophomore Charlie Zane (Guilford, Conn./Hopkins School) carded his third straight round of 81.

First-years Jacob Liberman (Wayne, Pa./Friends' Central) and Tyler Caballero (Lutherville, Md./St. Paul's) both finished in the top 20, coming in with scores of 76 and 77, respectively, to place 15th and 18th overall.

Vince Warzecha (Chester Springs, Pa./Malvern Prep) carded his first collegiate sub-80 round, shooting a 79 for the day and first-year Davis Kline (Rye Beach, N.H./Portsmouth Abbey) added an 89.

Lebanon Valley's David Herbst claimed medalist honors with a 71, leading the Dutchmen to third with a combined score of 307. Stevenson won a tie-breaker to capture the team title after matching Muhlenberg with scores of 302.

The Red Devils travel to the McDaniel Fall Invitational on September 30th and October 1st at the Bridges Golf Club.
