Red Devils Capture Second at Gettysburg Spring Invitational
(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's golf team finished second at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational on Wednesday afternoon. The host Bullets captured the team title with a score of 310. The Red Devils finished strokes back with a 318 for the day.
Junior Arthur Worthington (Owings Mills, Md./Gilman) tied for third with a round of 77, finishing just five strokes back of the medalist.
Sophomore Mike Deming (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) and first-year Linn Worthington (Owings Mills, Md./Gilman) tied for eighth, each turning in a score of 80.
All five Red Devils finished in the top 15 for the tournament. Chris Noonan (Durham, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) tied for 11th with an 81 and senior Tucker Joyce (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) shot an 82 to tie for 15th.
Messiah College's Matt Burkhart earned medalist honors with an even par round of 72.
The Red Devils travel to the McDaniel College Shootout at Westminster National this weekend.
