(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's basketball team kept coming after visiting Swarthmore, but the #14-ranked Garnet pulled away at the end, 100-82.

The Garnet jumped out to a 5-0 start and built the lead to 11 at the midpoint of the first half. Swarthmore continued to build on the lead, stretching the margin to 22, late in the period.

Senior Mike Hinckley (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Episcopal Academy) tallied seven points in the final two minutes to cut the deficit to 46-29 at the break.

Senior Elijah Wright (Orange, N.J./The Pennington School) opened the second half with a three-pointer and Dickinson played even with the Garnet through the first five minutes.

Swarthmore put together a run to stretch the lead back to 21 at the 14-minute mark. The Red Devils continued to battle, cutting the deficit to 15 with a three-pointer from Ryan Robinson (Vienna, Va./George Marshall) and again later on a nice three-point play from Onye Okoro (Easton, N.J./Voorhees) with a nice feed from Bryce Allen (Albany, N.Y./The Hill School).

The Red Devils pulled within 10 at the 6:18 mark and Allen cut it to 12 with a three-pointer, with just over three minutes to play.

The Garnet would rebuild the lead with free throws as they improve to 20-3 on the season.

Allen led the Red Devils with 23 points, hitting four three-pointers and going 6-for-7 from the line while adding seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. Hinckley finished with 20 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Wright tallied game-high nine rebounds to go with eight points and three assists. Okoro finished with seven points while Ryan Devine (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) hit a pair of three-pointers.
