Wixted Tabbed Centennial Player of the Week for Second Time

(Lancaster, Pa.) - Dickinson sophomore forward Gerry Wixted (Moorestown, N.J./Lawrenceville School) was named the Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

 

Wixted had another strong week, averaging 24 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. He shot a remarkable 89 percent from the free throw line and hit 53 percent from the floor. Wixted scored a game-high 31 points on Saturday, going 10-for-10 from the line, leading Dickinson to a Centennial Conference record, 27-for-27 performance at the stripe. He added four blocked shots for the week as well.

 

The Red Devils (6-2, 4-1 CC) set a conference record with a perfect, 27-for-27 performance from the free throw line in Saturday's win over Ursinus. They shot a remarkable 38-for-40 over the last two games.
