Charlotte MacDonald (Washington & Lee '16) joined the Red Devil field hockey coaching staff in the spring of 2018. She is a 2016 graduate of Washington & Lee University where she was a four-year letter-winner for the Generals, serving as a team captain as a senior. She led the Generals in goals scored in her first season and was the top point-scorer as a sophomore.
The Generals made four Old Dominion Athletic Conference playoff appearances during her career, advancing to the conference semifinals in 2014 and the championship game in 2015.
MacDonald was selected to play in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Senior Game and was the 2014-15 recipient of the Coaches Award.
MacDonald served as an assistant coach at Shenandoah University where she was involved in all aspects of the program. While at Shenandoah, MacDonald was part of a staff that produced four All-Conference players, including two First-team selections for the first time, and one who received All-State honors.
She has worked in the USA Futures Program as a selector, assistant coach, and head coach and has a Level II accreditation.
