(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson field hockey team came out and turned in a dominant performance in the second half, coming away with a 1-0 win over host Muhlenberg College on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils erupted with a 14-1 shot advantage in the second half, holding a 7-3 edge in penalty corners.
Sophomore Olivia Young (Orrtanna, Pa./Gettysburg) tallied the game-winner with just over 15 minutes to play, finishing an assist from Chelsea Kramer (New Vernon, N.J./Morristown-Beard) for the game's only goal.
The Red Devils managed just six shots in the first half with Muhlenberg recording three while forcing three corners and holding the Devils to a pair.
Dickinson put 14 shots on target as Emma Rosenthal turned back 13 on the day. Senior goalkeeper Freddie Bancroft (Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) made four saves to record her fourth shutout of the season.
