With one of the best career winning percentages in Dickinson history, Darwin Breaux has compiled a 131-113-1 overall record in 24 seasons and posted a 97-81-1 mark in the Centennial Conference. He guided the Red Devils into postseason play five times, leading the team to ECAC Bowl Games in 1993, 1998 and 2007, and the NCAA playoffs in 1994 and 2006.

In 2001 he replaced Ed Sweeney with the most overall wins in the history of the program. Sweeney posted 56 wins from 1985-92. 

Breaux joined the Dickinson football staff in 1989 as offensive coordinator. Breaux took over as head coach in 1993 and led the Red Devils to a berth in the ECAC Southwest Region Championship game. His 1994 team put together a school record 10-0 season and earned an NCAA playoff appearance. For his efforts, Breaux was named AFCA South Region Coach of the Year. The 2006 team finished 8-3 overall, winning the Centennial with a 5-1 mark to earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs.

During his time at Dickinson, Breaux has coached 20 All-Americans and 79 First-team All-Conference selections.

Before coming to Dickinson, Breaux was an assistant football coach at Gettysburg College and served as the Bullets’ head golf and wrestling coach. He was also a graduate assistant at West Chester University and coached at Ascension Catholic and Carencro High Schools in his home state of Louisiana. A 1977 graduate of West Chester University, Breaux was a four-year member of the football team and was also on the golf team.

Breaux’s duties at Dickinson also include coaching men’s golf and teaching physical education classes. He and his wife reside in Boiling Springs and have two daughters.
