(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson senior Schuyler Simpson (Potomac, Md./Bullis) is one of 44 college football players to be named to the 2012 Team Stars & Stripes roster for the Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) to be played at La Fortaleza Azul (The Blue Fortress) against the CONADEIP All-Stars in Guadalajara in Mexico at 12:00 pm CET on Saturday, December 15.
Seniors representing 26 NCAA Division III schools have selected to this year's squad. Team Stars & Stripes Director of Player Personnel, John Roslien, has selected 44 players who were nominated by head coaches at NCAA D-III colleges to participate in the fourth annual game that is organized by Global Football. He tallied seven tackles-for-loss, including four sacks while forcing a fumble this season. Simpson reached the century mark in the Devils' final game, finishing with 104 career tackles, 14.5 tackles-for-loss and 7.5 sacks for combined losses of 36 yards. In addition, he forced a fumble in each of the last three seasons.

"A huge thanks needs to go to John Roslien for all his efforts in putting together our roster, working closely with our coaching staff and D3 coaches across America." said Global Football President Patrick Steenberge. "This takes a huge effort, as does the entire Tazón event, and we are extremely proud to be able to have worked together for the past 15 years to provide this opportunity for top student athletes at the Division III level."
