Rosen Named Centennial Defensive Player of the Week
(Carlisle, Pa.) - Dickinson College senior linebacker Julian Rosen (Brecksville, Ohio/The Unversity School) was named the Centennial Conference football Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Gettysburg College.
Rosen had nine tackles, assisted on a sack and picked off a pass to set up the game-tying touchdown in the Red Devils' 21-20 win at Gettysburg. The Red Devils rallied from a 14-point deficit to take a 21-20 lead in the fourth quarter.
The Bullets snuck into the end zone with just 46 seconds remaining but the Red Devils' special teams unit came up huge as senior Corwyn Gordon (Hanover, Pa./South Western) blocked the extra-point to secure the win.
The Red Devils improved to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in the the Centennial Conference. They regained possession of the coveted Little Brown Bucket with the victory. Dickinson returns home to host Ursinus College in the season finale on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
