Red Devils Ready for Friday Night Football
| (Carlisle, Pa.) - The Dickinson College football team is ready to light things up on Friday night. The Red Devils (7-1, 5-1) host Juniata College at 7:00 pm, under the lights on Biddle Field. | |
The Red Devils have one of the top, and most exciting offenses in the Centennial Conference. They lead the CC in rushing offense, ranking 24th-nationally. The Devils rank second in total offense and third in scoring in the CC this season.
There will be raffles, contests, and the 2009 men's cross country team will be honored at halftime. The Devils captured their second straight Centennial Conference Championship last Saturday, scoring a conference record 16 points.
T-Shirts are also being made to help the fundraising efforts of senior quarterback Ian Mitchell '10. After losing a high school friend, Evan Brady, to cancer, Mitchell has made it a mission to help support cancer victims.
Mitchell has raised roughly $60,000 for Evanfest, a charity created in Brady's honor to raise money for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Last season's night game provided a great atmosphere with a large crowd from both Dickinson and the local community. We would like to invite everyone to attend the game on Friday night and join in the festivities.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm. The gates open at 5:30 pm.
