Mitchell Selected for All-American Bowl All-Star Game
(Eden Prairie, Minnesota) - The 14th Annual All-American Bowl College All-Star Game will be played Saturday March 27, 2010 at University of Charleston Laidley Field in Charleston, West Virginia, at 1:05 p.m.
Dickinson College senior quarterback Ian Mitchell (Newtown Square, Pa./Malvern Prep) has been selected to participate in this year's event. Mitchell set numerous school records at Dickinson, becoming the first quarterback in the history of the Centennial Conference to both rush for over 2,000 yards and pass for over 5,000 in a career.
This year's game will showcase some of the nation's top Division II and III college seniors and free agent football players, hosted by the Charleston West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau. The players are selected for their outstanding football careers and with the game being played in beautiful Charleston, West Virginia the concentration of players will be coming from east coast football teams.
Pre-game events include: Scouting Combine, Practice and singing competition to perform the National Anthem at the game.
Many top players have went on to further their football careers after playing in the All American Bowl. Chris Hanson, Marshall University, Punter: is the current punter for the New England Patriots; Maurice Hicks, Montgomery College, Running Back: signed as an undrafted free-agent with the Chicago Bears, also played for the San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings; Keith Williams, St. Cloud State, Running Back: signed by the Green Bay Packers and went on to play for the Barcelona Dragons, Iowa Barnstormers, and New York Dragons.

About the All American Bowl:
The All American Bowl began in 1996 in Minnesota. It is designed to
bring together the country's top Division II and III college
seniors and free agents to compete in an All-Star bowl setting. The
All American Bowl has been held annually at Mall of America Field
at the HHH Metrodome, as well as several other great locations
across the country like, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Dayton Beach and
Miami, Florida and now Charleston, WV.
