Solid Start, Strong Outlook for 2014 Red Devil Baseball

The Red Devil baseball team is off to a 5-1 start, winning their first give games behind some strong individual performances. Watch an interview with head coach Craig Hanson about the upcoming season.

 

Senior Ryan Kramer (New Vernon, N.J./Morristown Beard) is 2-0 on the hill, recording eight strikeouts in each appearance. Harley Moore (Deltaville, Va./Middlesex) had a solid outing while sophomore Garrett Kurtz (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) has been effective in relief, making three strong appearances.

 

Steven Haynes (Mt. Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) is hitting .389 with six RBIs, three doubles and a homerun. 2013 All-Conference selection Hank Sanders (Wellsville, Pa./Northern) is one is six Red Devils hitting over .300 on the year. He ranks second at .350, with a double and a triple, adding five RBIs and scoring four runs.

 

First-year Ryan Dolan (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Germantown Academy) has seven hits on the year, scoring seven runs with a pair of doubles. Junior Mitch Helmandollar (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) and senior Joe Tursi (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) are off to strong starts as well, each scoring five runs on the year.
